Composer - Music Producer
Leland is an LA-based film composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist with a penchant for massive orchestral, synth-driven scoring.
During his time at Remote Control, Leland cut his teeth working for Hans Zimmer on films like INTERSTELLAR, MAN OF STEEL, INCEPTION, and contributed music to THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2. After Remote, Leland partnered with Klaus Badelt as the lead composer on the animated family film, LEAP! for eOne/Gaumont/Netflix, the digital miniseries HALO: NIGHTFALL for Scott Free/Xbox, and the live-action, fantasy-adventure feature ENTER THE WARRIOR’S GATE produced by Luc Besson.
In TV, Leland most recently wrote additional music for Netflix’s new children’s animated series ACTION PACK, and scored BEYBLADE BURST TURBO for DisneyXD. He’s also written trailer music for: THE FALLOUT (HBOMax), I’M YOUR WOMAN (Amazon), and MA RAINEY’S BLACK BOTTOM (Netflix) for which he won a Golden Trailer award for Best Music.
Also an accomplished songwriter, Leland penned “Our House”, performed by Becky G, for the film GNOME ALONE. You can also hear his music in cinematics for Riot Games’ LEAGUE OF LEGENDS, as well as a variety of Vice and HBO Documentaries. He studied Popular Music and Film Scoring at USC’s Thornton School of Music.
